Patient Self Referral Has Come to Kansas!

Effective July 1, 2013 individuals in Kansas can seek the services of a physical therapist without a physician referral.  These are exciting times and an ideal the KPTA has had its sights on for the past 25 years!  Please refer to HB 2066 for the specifics of the law and expect more education on understanding what this means for your practice on this website and at the upcoming Fall Conference in Manhattan (November 8-10).

KPTA is pleased to announce that the 2013 Fall Conference has been scheduled for November 8-10 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Manhattan.  This is a brand new property right next door to the Flint Hills Discovery Center.  More information to come........ 

Spring elections took place during the Business Luncheon in Wichita on April 6.  Your new officers are:

President - Susie Harms, PT, MHS
Vice President - Camille Snyder, PT, DPT
Chief Delegate (appointed by the Board) - Mark Dwyer, PT, MHA
PTA Caucus Representative - Angie Hoerner, PTA
Nominating Committee Member - Tiffany Bohm, MPT, DPT

Additionally, Justin Henton, PTA will serve as the new Reimbursement Chair and Staci Freudiger, PT will chair the Standards & Practice committee.

The KPTA Board would like to thank all outgoing officers for their service.
